24th of July

The 24th of July is the Clayson Family's get together time. It's not officially called a "reunion", but that's pretty much what it is. On Wednesday night, we went to mom's and tried to get the yard ready for the festivities the next day. On Thursday, we watched the parade and then had a big feast (we never lack on food). Bryn had croup, so I went home and had a nap with her while all the other girls made cute mini-scrapbooks. Brandon got to escape the chaos to go see Hellboy with Matt (whew, I missed that one!) That night we went to dinner for Ally's birthday (she's the big 30!) and then watched fireworks afterward. The next night Uncle Ed and Aunt Jo made a delicious dutch oven dinner in their backyard. The 24th isn't just a one day thing for us- we celebrated all weekend long and had a great time with our family.
