Crying was the theme of Bryn's birthday this year. She turned 3 years old on Friday, the 21st. It was really funny because I had bought her plates and balloons a week earlier and she had carried the plastic bag around the house throughout the week. She was so excited that it was her birthday! When the big day finally hit she didn't really know what to do. She got a new big wheel, a princess doll, and lots of other stuff.
I spent a few hours making her castle cake, but gave up when it came to the decorative flowers!
We had a family party for her Saturday night on the lawn at my mom's house. She had just finished opening her gifts and went to give hugs when she stepped on a bee in the grass.
Poor girl cried for the rest of the night. Once the waterworks started it seemed like everything made her upset. We ended up heading home a little early just so she could go to bed and stop crying! Hopefully next year will be better!
