Maddie's baptism was also beautiful. I tried to be really prepared so I wouldn't stress out, but that's hard to do! We had a lot of family and friends that showed up to support her and we are thankful for the influence each one of them has had on her life. It was so wonderful to hear her to say through chattering teeth that she was so cold on the outside, but felt so warm on the inside. I love the simple way that she summed up how the gospel makes us feel. I am truly blessed to have been raised with the knowledge that our church is true and I want to pass that onto my kids.

After the baptism we went back to my mom's house and had yummy ice cream sundaes with all the fixin's. We were able to visit with friends that we hadn't seen for a long time while Maddie played with the kids.

Later, Brandon and I went to his cousin's wedding reception, which wrapped up a long and emotional day.

Life is good.
