Movin' On Up!

It's official... we have finally closed on our house and are moving this weekend. We got a great deal, but had to pay extra in blood, sweat, and tears! There was nothing "short" about this short sale. The week before we were supposed to close we found out there were 4 owners on our house and they all lived in different places around the U.S, which made it difficult to get signatures. Our loan guy and realtor worked extra hard to get everything ready for us and we signed our side of the paperwork on Friday. Everything went through on Wednesday and we officially became homeowners.

We were able to get into the house over the weekend and painted Maddie's room lime green (looks so good you could eat it)! Bryn and Emmy's room is a light purple and Bryn says it's a princess room. (Pictures will be coming). We wouldn't have been able to get it done without the awesome work from Matt, Diane, my Mom, and Brandon's parents. We really do have the best family and friends!

We are so excited for the new house. We were able to meet our neighbors and the bishop talked to us already too. It was so nice to look out the windows while we were working and actually see families walking down the street together, riding bikes, or visiting with neighbors. That is something we don't have in our neighborhood anymore and is one of the big reasons we looked in the newer areas. I can't wait to get outside and make it look as nice as the inside. We will have to change our lifestyle a little, but we are willing to make the sacrifice!
