Last month Bryn had the joy of getting tubes put in her ears. I am always impressed with how well she does around nurses and doctors. I'm sure it's because of the many visits she has had with them! Everything went well and the whole procedure only took a few minutes. We spent more time going on a scavenger hunt around the hospital to find her after the nurse mixed her up with another patient. Argh! The funniest thing was after she was given the "happy" medicine. She was watching a cartoon on TV and the phone rang, she was so out of it that she grabbed the TV remote and tried to answer it. I think I need some of that "happy" medicine!!
On our follow-up appointment the tests show that she has 100% hearing now, but she is behind with her speech. The school district is going to evaluate her to see if she needs speech therapy before she starts Kindergarten next year.
