A Great Day at the Zoo!

We were able to go to the Hogle Zoo on Saturday for Tevin's 1 year birthday. It was a beautiful day, but a little hot after walking through the hills for a few hours. All the kids did really well and had a great time. After the zoo, we met at Sugarhouse Park for dinner and cake. One of my hobbies this last year has been creating my own cakes, so I attempted to make Tevy's. I took a bunch of pictures as soon as I got done decorating it because I didn't know how it would fare in the cooler while we were at the zoo. The ice melted and the bottom of the cake got water logged, but it wasn't too bad. Tevy seemed to enjoy it! I also got a new SLR camera this week and was able to take a bunch of pictures. I'm not a pro yet, but I'm trying! We all had a wonderful time together as a family and are recuperating today!
