My Grandma's funeral services were on Friday and Saturday. I was sad for all of us, but I was not sad for Grandma. She lived a long and prosperous 90 years. My brother, Uncle John, cousin Cindy, and one of her friends said kind words at her memorial service. It was wonderful to hear all the stories about her and look back on the memories I have of her. The best part was reconnecting with my cousins, Cindy and Kevin. We used to visit them when we would go to California, but we didn't ever get to know them well. Hopefully, we can stay in touch and continue to support each other as a family. We were also able to meet our 2nd cousin, Susan, for the first time. She lives in Florida and came out to take Aunt Shirley home.

This is Maddie and my Great Aunt Shirley. She has lived with my Grandma for the last couple years and has taken care of her through everything. I am so grateful for her!
This is a picture of a tree that Maddie and I sat under after Grandma's burial. It's branches and leaves surrounded us like big hug. It was a place of refuge for us when we were needing comfort.
