A couple weeks ago Maddie had her first ever track and field. We were anticipating a nice sunny day with sunscreen and sunburns, but it was the opposite. It was rainy, cloudy, windy, and an overally yucky morning! Worst of all was that I had bought Maddie a cute short set to wear that would be perfect to run in! She ended up freezing cold and had to wear Brandon's jacket. About the time she ran her last race the warm sun came peeking out from the clouds. Wonderful!
I was really proud of Maddie for signing up for two of the races, one of them was the 200 meter, which was one I always avoided when I was her age. She had a great time and will be practicing for next year!
