The Reason I'm Behind On My Blog

We have discovered that home ownership is very time consuming! We Brandon has been busy trying to prepare the backyard for a fence, sprinkling system, and sod. He managed to kill the grass/weeds that were there when we moved in. He was going to remove the dead sod by hand, but we have decided to hire someone to come in and till and level it. I will be thrilled when we get nice grass out there to replace all the puncture weeds. (I won't miss digging them out of poor Emmy's feet!) It seems like every spare minute we have we spend it outside trying to make our yard look nice. I have to admit that it's looking better every day.

Last Saturday we worked outside all day trying to build up our flower beds in the front yard. We had to bring in a couple loads of soil because of all the clay. It was hard work, but definitely rewarding. Now I can't wait to go shopping for my flowers and trees!
