I’m writing this post by the pool at 5:30 in the evening.
Here is the rundown of my day:
5:30 AM- Wake up with a headache- I take 3 Advil and go back
to bed.
8:30 AM- Wake up, stumble to bathroom- realize I don’t feel
too hot. Stumble back to the bed.
9:00 AM- I am sick. I never get motion sick, but I have a
bad case of it. Brandon wants to eat breakfast in the dining room so I kick it
into high gear so we can get there before it closes.
9:15 AM- High gear doesn’t cooperate with me. I look in the
mirror and I’m green. At this point it might feel good to puke.
9:30 AM- I have the death grip on Brandon’s arm as we walk
to the buffet (missed the dining room). He seats me at a table and I wait for
him to get back. The smell of the food
doesn’t agree with me as I try not to puke. He gets back and the smell of his
food does me in. I made him walk me to the back of the ship in the atrium where
I can lay by the pool.
9:45 AM- The atrium has turned into heaven in the middle of
the wavy sea. I send Brandon back to eat.
10:00 AM- Take a nap.
10:30 AM- Diane and Karen bring me toast and a green apple
(that’s supposed to help).
10:45 AM- Nap
12:00 AM- Now I’m feeling pretty good! Take 20 steps to the
lunch line and get my fruit and egg salad sandwich. People watch while I eat.
1:00 PM- Nap
2:00 PM- Eat a bowl of yummy mushroom bisque soup. People
watch.
2:30 PM- Nap
3:30 PM- Eat a brownie. People watch and start working on
this post.
4:30 PM- Yawn… it’s been a hard day. A nap sounds good!
5:30 PM- Finish my blog post watch the few kids that are on
the cruise play in the water. I miss my kids… but I know they are being taken
care of and are having a good time with my mom and Brandon’s mom and dad. As
much as I miss them I’m glad I had a chance to come and relax. After today I
realized I’m worn out, stressed out, and in desperate need of relaxation. I’m
pretty sure I got that today! Now I’m off to our stateroom to get ready for our
formal dinner. Hopefully Brandon will get his much anticipated lobster tonight!
No lobster- booo! We did have a delicious dinner
provided by the charming Constantine from Romania. Karen’s in love… again. Diane
is flirting with maître de every night that has big dimples!
