Sunday was the vacation part of our trip! Aunt Marilyn took us to the Oceanside State Beach. Maddie has been to the beach before, but she didn't remember it. She loved it!
She played and splashed and I had to drag her away when it was time to go!
We walked about a mile down the beach to find seashells and ended up with a bucket of them that are now stinking up my kitchen! Here's one of my favorite pictures I took of the pebbles on the beach:
Poor Tevy was exhausted and fell asleep on our walk, so we went back to Aunt Marilyn's to clean up. Maddy took a bath in the fancy tub because she had sand "where sand shouldn't be"!
That night we went to the Oceanside Pier and had dinner at Ruby's Diner with my niece, Ami, and her boyfriend, Jake. We have missed her so much since she has lived in California!
